Who are the leaders?

Our leadership team is entirely made up of volunteers who enjoy running scout meetings and camps! All adult leaders have training and a CRB check, and there is always at least one adult who is first aid qualified.

If you would like the opportunity to do something you’d never thought of doing, while having lots of fun and giving back to the community at the same time, please get in touch – we can always do with more leaders! You don’t have to be an expert in all-things-scouting – the only essential ingredient is wanting to have fun scouting!

Who are the scout leaders:

Scout Leader: Woody (aka Andy)

To be updated.

Assistant Scout Leader: Ian

I have been involved in scouting for the past 12 years, I started as a beaver and continued all the way through cubs, scouts, explorers and in to the new Network group which has just been set up in Christchurch.

I spent my years as a Beaver, Cub and Scout at Barton sea scouts, and for the last 4 years as an Explorer I joined Christchurch District Neptune Explorers (mudeford), where I completed my Bronze D of E (Duke of Edinburgh award). I also enjoyed a number of hiking weekends to Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor with Neptune.

I am now working towards achieving my Gold D of E and as a part of this I volunteered  at 5thChristchurch Highcliffe scouts. Once I had completed my D of E Gold I continued to be a leader at Highcliffe scouts, I would like to pass on skills and experience that I have been taught to the next generation of scouts, and help them get the best out of scouting.

Currently my favourite sport is mountain biking and I plan to take the scouts out and work towards the cycle badge.
